Why does the prosecutor matter? Don't they just go to court?
The job of prosecutor is incredibly important. In West Virginia, the County Prosecutor is the Chief Law Enforcement Officer of the County. They are responsible for investigating and prosecuting all crime that occurs in the county.
As the Senior Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, Joe knows the ins and outs of the job more than anyone else. The three most important parts of the job are:
1) Trying the biggest and most important criminal cases in court;
2) Working with law enforcement to investigate complex crime;
3) Managing an office of fifteen assistant prosecutors-leading by example, teaching, and implementing policy to help keep Berkeley County safe.
